NEPTUN’S RINGS

There is a system of very thin, dark rings made of small rocks and dust which located in clusters of the Neptune. Ring system of Neptune is circular and not like Uranus which is elliptical.

Neptune has three distinct rings named Adams, Le Verrier and Galle plus a wide plateau of dust beside the Le Verrier ring which is co-orbital with the moon Galatea.

As these rings are not same in thickness and density it is difficult to detect them, but thicker parts were easier to detect and called “ring arcs”. Three prominents are belong to Adam’s ring named Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. The oddness of the rings probably is due to gravitational pull of Neptun’s moon. Gravitational forces of Neptune’s smaller moon may shepherd the inner rings too.
