Coal

 Coal:

Bringing hot water from coal mines to houses was too difficult. James Watt basically solved this problem by inventing the steam engine. His invention totally changed the whole life of industry and transportation.

1885-1950  Although producing heat from coal in compare to wood was cheap and twice efficient, but cleaning the houses that heated by coal was very difficult.

1993 and on the demand for oil in the U.S.A has passed the production due to decline in oil production.

 Nuclear:

1906   Albert Einstein’s theory of relativity opened a new chapter in the field of physics. The Theory speaks about mass, Light, energy, electricity and magnetism. The most important development of the 20th century was the invention of formula by Einstein, called E=MC2

It says that energy is equal to mass multiply by square of the light speed. This invention opened new era in the fields of medicine, astrophysics, and electricity.

1942    Nuclear Energy was introduced in this year.

1957   In this year the first nuclear energy plant started its production.

1995    Nuclear power plants produce 20 Percent of electricity.

 Transportation:

1781   Passenger travel was only possible by horse-drown coaches.

1800  Horse coaches  mainly moved goods and passengers. In this year there were no trains, no big ships, as we know to day.

1980’s  Coal became the super star to the steel industry.

1982   Although coal was not used for heating in the houses but became the main source for generation of electricity. In general heating the coal generated 50 percent of energy, but only 10-15 percent of energy generated from natural gas, nuclear power or from dams.
