Gas
Distribution
As we mentioned before, Carbon and hydrogen are the
constituents of methane gas. This gas has the chemical
formula of CH4.
Here we should mention that there is no relevancy
between natural gas and “gasoline” which is some times
called in brief as “gas”. As seen in oil, natural gas is
found under ground and Ocean floors. Drilling for
natural gas is similar to what done for oil. Bringing a
large volume of natural gas to the consuming points
needs large pipes. Some of pipes are two feet wide.
Generating electricity is highly dependant to this fuel.
Many other industries as well as small ones such as
bakeries depend on natural gas.
Pipelines in different sizes are used for its
distribution up to its particular consumption points.
Bringing natural gas to a building or house, needs a
meter to measure volume of consumption for charging
purposes.
In a home, it is used for cooking, heating water and
keeping the house warm.

In rural areas and wherever places, not having access to
pipelining networks, other forms of fuel or liquefied
gas in safe cylinders is used.
Propane, in liquefied form must be kept under low
pressure and be made in very low temperatures.
Natural gas can be used in cars, trucks and other form
of transportations. For such a purpose special safe
tanks must be used.
As the burning of pure natural gas produce carbon
dioxide and water vapor without any toxic by products,
it is considered a safe and ideal fuel in many
industries.
But existence of some impurities, including sulphides
may cause pollution, much less than conventional, more
complex gasoline. In a comparison, natural gas is ninety
percent cleaner. So in a general consensus, many people
prefer a natural gas fueled car in future.
