The main purpose of this report is new suggestions for mineral explorations in the vicinity of Hussein Abad deposit for reactivation of abandoned mines and interchanging ideas on exploratory plans in other mining districts belonging to Shahin Co. in the southern Arak.
Hossein Abad deposit can be divided into three parts based on exploratory works:
1- Eastern zone which bas been covered by alluvium from eastern mouth of the main trench up to 500 meters eastward: previous geophysical explorations using IP method and several boreholes indicated the existence of ore mineralization at depth. It is recommended that geophysical explorations, drawing several trenches with 50-meter-interval perpendicular to anomalous zone, systematic sampling and grade identification should be launched for better understanding of the ore body.
2- Central zone: embracing the Hussein Abad deposit main trench. This e-w trending zone is 800 meters long and 200 meters wide. Present documents are not sufficient and a new topographic map on the scale 1:500 must be prepared from the trench. B. Several lithostratigraphic sections with n-s trends should be prepared on the scale 1:500 with emphasis on copper or galena-pyrite-sphalerite mineralization and location, dip, trend and grade of ore bearing horizons and veins. c. Mine-geological maps must be prepared using geological maps, profiles and field observations. d. Drawing exploratory trenches of two meters interval
3- Western zone that is of less significance than central and eastern zones, however above-mentioned plans must also be launches for this zone.
