Report on Geochemical Exploration in Galouchah anomalous zone (1:20000)
Abstract
Galuchah-e Dehsalm anomaly is an area, 75 Km2, located between 31 15–31 21 15 northern latitudes and 59 25 30 – 59 30 eastern longitudes. It is 18 km far from Dehsalm village. This zone lies at southeast of Dehsalam topography map (1:50000) and north of Chahvak geology quadrangle.
151 geochemical, 47 heavy mineral and 27 mineralized samples were collected.
The geological trend of the area is NW-SE. Regional lithology includes marble, calc-schist, amphibole-schist and monzonite. Except several mineralized samples, the result of heavy mineral and geochemical samples analysis are not interesting. A mineralized sample is contained 34.8 ppm Au, 1570 ppm Zn, 2415 ppm Pb and 21 ppm Ag. In the Galouchah-e Dehsalm, in the contact of monzonite intrusion and calc-schist, a zone of silicic veins exists that is 10m wide and 700m long. The veins are between 5 and 10 cm wide. Available heavy mineral in samples include ilmenite, rutile, sphene, magnetite, hematite, barite, zircon, chromite, anatase, leucoxene, andalusite, sillimanite, kyanite and galena.
