Abstract
The first chapter of this report concerns to general geology of the area and rock units of the Sanandaj-Sirjan zone that contains quartzite. Previously, silica was reported from two areas, Ghuri, 63 Km far from north of Neyriz and Boshneh, 80 Km away from northeast of Neyriz. The silica resource of Ghuri that is located 8 Km far from southeast of this village has better condition and was explored in this project.
The second chapter includes the exploration project result in the Ghuri area. Topography and geology maps of the deposit are included in this section. Quartzite layers are concentrated in the central zone due to action of faults. Some silica resources in the area have hydrothermal origin. The deposit was blocked into 4 segments. The exploration activity involves trenching, drilling low depth holes, and excavation that totally amounts to 300 cubic meters. The deposit has high purity silica, but its reserve is small. The next chapters are about feasibility studies and pilot processing.
