Assessment of gold change trend and distribution and mineralogy of Muteh Gold Complex waste dump
Due to various reasons, the gold grade in the Muteh waste dump is higher than design base and because of high volume of the dump, it is predicted that there is considerable gold content in the dump. So it is necessary to study the change trend and distribution of gold in the dump and the possibility of gold recovery from it.
Sampling, geochemical analysis, and determination gold grade was done for the waste dump. Average gold content of the dump is 0.37 ppm that estimates a total 1000 Km gold in the Muteh waste dump. Microscopic and SEM studies and identification tests were conducted on the dump and their results are presented in separate chapters. By application of carbon and sulfur flotation and determination of gold grade between two phases, the result of study for two phases are compared.
